Drilled Shaft Inspection

Three days of instruction to familiarize trainees with the drilled shaft construction process, equipment, nomenclature, and FDOT SSRBC Section 455.

Qualification Information

Trainees seeking Drilled Shaft Inspection qualification must...

1. Have 30 days of on-site experience by observation of drilled shaft construction under supervision of a qualified Inspector.
2. Pass the Drilled Shaft Inspection written proficiency examinations.

Course Content

This course covers the following modules:

• Pertinent plans, specs and submittals
• Construction equipment
• Concreting operations
• Inspection procedures and techniques
• High mast lighting, mast arms and signs
• Math and inspector's reports
• Slurry testing lab
• Common problems

Payment for registrations must be either by credit card at time of registration or by check within 10 days of the session start date. Full Course with exam is three (3) days.

Start-times are consistent. End-times may vary depending on instruction required and class-size. This session's exam time may vary due to morning review, but those registered as exam-only attendees should still arrive at 8:00 AM on day 3.
