Two-day's instruction regarding the role, responsibilities and duties of a QC Manager as applicable under FHWA 23 CFR 637. See the "Materials Notebook" entry on the US DOT's website for more information.

Qualification Information:

  1. Pass the Quality Control Manager written examination.
  2. Have at least one of the following qualifications:
    1. Asphalt Paving Level 2
    2. Asphalt Plant Level 2
    3. Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 2
    4. Concrete Field Technician Level 2
    5. Concrete Laboratory Technician Level 2
    6. Aggregate Laboratory Testing Technician
    7. LBR Technician
    (No other qualifications satisfy this requirement.)

Professional Engineers Credit: 12 PDH.

Contractor's License Credits: 12 CEU (satisfies requirements for 1 hour Business Practices).

Course Content: This course covers the following modules:

  • Explanation of the purpose and use of QC plans
  • Description and use of the QC plan development guidelines
  • Explanation of the function and authority of the QC manager
Payment for registrations must be either by credit card at time of registration or by check within 10 days of the session start date.
