CTQP Written Exam Only (No books provided)

CTQP exams, written only (no instruction, no proficiencies)

Written Exam Only sessions (sometimes called "challenge" sessions) provide trainees a chance to take any CTQP written exam. No course manuals or specifications are provided, so trainees must bring their own materials for open book or open specification exams. We can allow only one (1) or two (2) exams per student per session, not to exceed six (6) hours in total exam time allowed.

Warning!

Some qualifications will require Proficiency Exams (hands-on) for qualification. When this is true, taking only a written exam will not, in most cases, actually qualify trainees.

The best option for those needing both exams is to take them with an instructed course of the correct type (for example, find an Asphalt Paving 1 course and choose the sign up option for "EO.WP: Written & Proficiency Exams Only").

The following qualifications all require both a written and proficiency exam to be passed before qualification can be granted (each item is a link to see those scheduled courses):

• Asphalt Paving Level 1 and Asphalt Plant Level 1 (all trainees).
• Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1 (applies only to initial or expired trainees: if currently qualified, only written exam is required).
• Pile Driving Inspection (all trainees).

If you are in need of one of the above qualifications, but do not wish to attend the instructed portion of a course (want to "challenge" the exams), choose the "EO.WP" (Written & Proficiency Exams Only) fee option in a standard course offering.

Written Exams Now Available by Appointment

CTT now offers the written exams from CTQP by appointment in our offices (here in Gainesville). If schedule conflicts are making it almost impossible for you to get your written exam, you may be able to come to our Gainesville offices by appointment and take the exam. Call our registration desk for more information.

Recent News: FDOT Concrete Batch Plant Operator instruction. Since there's no official course, but the online training doesn't suit everyone, CTT now offers special instruction to help trainees prepare for the exam. See the course calendar for available sessions.

Payment

Payment for registrations must be either by credit card at time of registration or by check within 10 days of the session start date. Checks are payable to University of Florida and may be sent to our normal office address:

Can't send in the check in time?

If your payment will be made less than 10 days from the start date, for example when registering for a class starting next week or the same week, please go ahead and submit your registration request, then simply notify our registration desk when the check will be sent.

Registration Changes

Alterations made to the registration within 7 days of the start date may be subject to fees in accordance with CTT policies. See our policy statements page for more information.
