Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 2

Two day's instruction on applying the various standards and specifications associated with earthwork testing and the proper recording and tracking of those test results in the FDOT Earthwork Records System (also called "density log book").

Qualification Information

To become qualified, the trainee should know and meet these requirements:

1. Pass the Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1 written exam (only if not currently qualified).
2. Pass the Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 2 written exam.
3. 30 days work experience on a construction project involving earthwork operations.

This qualification also applies to other FDOT qualifications as follows:

• QC Manager (other qualifications can also satisfy the requirement)

Course Content

This course covers the following modules:

• Density theory
• Earthwork Records System (density log book).
• FDOT specifications and design standards for earthwork construction.

Start-times are consistent. End-times may vary depending on instruction required and class-size. This session's exam time may vary due to morning review, but those registered as exam-only attendees should still arrive at 8:00 AM on day 2.
